Ubiquiti UniFi US-16-150W POE Switch | UniFi Switch 16 PoE

The Ubiquiti UniFi US-16-150W is a fully managed Layer 2 Switch with 16 auto-sensing 802.3at PoE+ Gigabit Ethernet ports and two SFP ports.

The UniFi Switch has two SFP ports for fiber connectivity that helps in the easy expansion of networks. The SPF Port in Unifi US-16-150W can be used for uplinks up to 1 Gbps.

The UniFi Switch can be Monitored and Managed with the UniFi Network Web application and mobile app.

UniFi switches are mostly layer 2 only, meaning they can handle VLANs, but cannot act as a router. The only UniFi switches with L3 capability are the 2nd generation pro models.

Do I need UniFi layer 3 switch?

If you need the switch to aggregate multiple access switches and do inter-VLAN routing, then a Layer 3 switch is needed.

What is the difference between UniFi switch and edge switch?
